This watercolor painting captures a cliff-top view of agave plants & the colorful blue seawater of the Atlantic Ocean. This beautiful location is Costa da Caparica, a beach town near Lisbon, Portugal.
These agave plants are Americana Century plants that amazingly bloom only once in their life! The succulents shoot up a tall single flowering stalk. When the blooms fade, seeds drop to the ground so new sprouts can keep the garden growing.
My painting inspiration was a friend's travel photo. I love the colorful perspective view!
