This watercolor painting captures the inside of a beautiful abalone shell, also known as the mother of pearl. The seashell is smooth on the inside with iridescent colors of silver, blue, green, pink & yellow with a fish-shaped design in the center.
The outer shell is rough & blends in with the rocks where these snail mollusks live in the ocean.
These gifts from the sea are used in purity & healing smudging ceremonies & as decoration.
